Folk Art Fashion

Continental craze

The recognition of Folk art came about in the 19th Century and was at first limited to the so called Peasant Art of Europe and attached to the simple life. Primarily utilitarian and decorative one off pieces were individually hand crafted using traditional tools. Folk Art takes many forms including dolls, ornaments, crafts, paintings, textiles, and functional items such as shelves and furniture, Hereford Antiques is always looking out for that Folk Art Fun for the website, bespoke, naïve and romantic…all in one!

Foxy Lady Antiques and Interiors Posted by Foxy Lady Antiques and Interiors

A passion for antiques began as a young girl attending antiques auctions and Country house sales with my mother buying wonderful, timeless, elegant, faded and jaded pieces for our home. My interest blossomed over the years and a hobby turned into a full time working obsession where I gained invaluable experience managing a large reputable Antiques Centre in the Cotswolds selling to the general public and shipping trade on behalf of furniture and cabinet dealers.
