Well.....what a 'jolly' chap.............!!!!!
The original Toby's date back to the 18th Century and became common pouring vessels in pubs and taverns, some of the finest early jugs were produced in the Staffordshire Potteries.
This lovely example is in the form of a seated, jovial gent holding a mug of beer. The tricorn hat forms a pouring spout and a handle attached to the rear.
Each and everyone is different and full of individual character, their colourful coats often giving them more charm.
Decorative and 'fun' they are a very quirky collectable for the home, man cave or just popped on a shelf, they'll certainly make you smile.
